Julie Valenti, PTA, CPTPhysical Therapy Assistant & Certified Personal Trainer Julie Valenti joined North Shore Physical Therapy in 1998. She is a graduate of North Shore Community College, class of 1997. As a student, Julie excelled in an advanced clinical program in the college's non-profit clinic for patients without health insurance. After graduation, Julie was recruited to stay with the college clinic for a year to work as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She received the Outstanding Service award for her performance and commitment to the clinic. Since joining North Shore Physical Therapy, Julie has received her certification in personal training and Pilates. She incorporates these skills with her physical therapy training. She has been able to advance patients beyond rehabilitation and helping them reach their personal goals. She presently works in the Salem office where she has a full Pilates studio. In 1998 she had been instrumental in the development and facilitation of a strengthening and conditioning class, which she teaches at the Council on Aging Centers in Swampscott and Marblehead. These classes still run today with over 100 seniors actively participating. Prior to becoming a PTA, Julie was a certified aerobics instructor with more than 15 years of experience. Julie is also a competition tri-athlete who frequently competes in the area. |
