Raymond P. Choiniere, DPTDoctor of Physical Therapy Dr. Ray Choiniere joined North Shore Physical Therapy in the spring of 1990, bringing expertise in the areas of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. As a member of the graduating class of 1987, Dr. Choiniere graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts/Lowell. Additionally, he received the Departmental Award, which recognized his academic excellence in the field of physical therapy. Ray continues his education by attending continuing education courses in spinal and orthopedic evaluation. From 1990 until 2000, Ray was an associate professor for the physical therapy assistant program at North Shore Community College. He instructed in neurology, therapeutic procedures for orthopedic and neurological conditions. In 1995 he founded and supervised a one of a kind student-based physical therapy clinic in which he and his students treated patients who had no access to physical therapy services. He was honored by NSCC with the Teacher of the Year Award in 1997 and was presented with an award for Pride and Performance by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for his work achievement at the college in 1998. In the spring of 2000, Ray received his Advance Practice Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts/Lowell. He received the Outstanding Achievement Award for excellence in graduate work and research. On February 15, 2004, Ray was awarded his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Ray is the Clinical Manager and senior physical therapist at NSPT/Salem. |
