Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Orthopedic physical therapists diagnose, manage, and treat disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system as well as rehabilitate patients after orthopedic surgery. Orthopedic physical therapists are trained in the treatment of post operative joints, acute sports injuries, arthritis, and amputations just to name a few. Those who have suffered injury or disease affecting the muscles, bones, ligaments, or tendons of the body will benefit from an assessment by a physical therapist specialized in orthopedics.
Women's Health
NSPT offers women's health physical therapy services at our Marblehead location. These services include physical therapy for urinary incontinence, as well as for the pregnant and post-partum woman. Biofeedback and muscle retraining of the pelvic floor muscles will be used in conjunction with a home exercise program. For any questions, please call our Marblehead office and speak with Jaime Silvestri-Bliss, MSPT.
Aquatic Physical Therapy
Skilled physical therapy with all the benefits that water has to offer. If you have stiff, painful joints that make it hard to exercise, or if you have chronic pain from recent or previous surgery, aquatic physical therapy can help. Aquatic therapy takes place at the Salem YMCA and is covered by your physical therapy benefits.
Personal Training
Take your rehabilitation to the next level with a certified personal trainer, who is also trained in physical therapy. NSPT trainers understand the obstacles you face. An individualized program will be developed to meet your needs and advance your exercise level without the fear of reinjury.
Pilates
NSPT offers Pilates in our Salem location. Enhance your core strength and stability. Improve your posture and alignment as well as balance and coordination. Relieve back pain and prevent injury. Call our Salem office and set-up your free consultation with Julie.
Balance Screening
There are many reasons why someone starts to lose his/her balance. Many of the causes are correctable and preventable. Participate in NSPT's free "fall prevention" screening to assess your risk level.
Health Club Programs
NSPT has an office located inside of Salem Fitness Center. Upon request, NSPT can assist you in advancing your exercise program and will address your questions on which machines are right for you. A one month free trial membership is offered at Salem Fitness Center.
Senior Fitness Program
